We welcome you to our self catering gites; full of charm, character and comfort – our labour of love for you to enjoy. Nestling in the tranquil Don valley but only minutes away from Guémené Penfao and all its amenities, they provide the best of both worlds.
The self catering family holiday gites at Les Quatre Cles are: La glycine, which sleeps up to 5 plus baby in 2 ensuite bedrooms, Le chèvrefeuille, which sleeps up to 4 in 2 ensuite bedrooms and Le camélia, which sleeps up to 6 plus baby in 2 bedrooms, sofa bed with 2 bathrooms. All the gites have private patios with BBQ as well as a lovely shared garden.
Each of the gites are fully modernised and well equipped to include a TV with satellite free to view TV, DVD player, internet access, music centre, log burner. The kitchen includes cooking utensils, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric cooker, toaster, kettle and washing machine. The following toddler equipment is available on request: cot & bedding, folding bed, child’s seat, child’s raised step for the bathroom, child’s toilet seat, nappy changing mat and nappy bags and a stairgate.
Our locations offer a great opportunity of having a fantastic holiday with a huge diversity of places to visit. As we are in Loire Atlantique and on the borders of Morbihan, Ile-et-Vilaine, Mayenne and Maine-et-Loire the choices are endless. In under an hour’s drive, you can be in Rennes’ half timbered mediaeval heart, mesmerised by Nantes’ wonderful mechanical elephant and other Jules Vernesque creatures, lazing on the golden sands of Pornichet and La baule, sampling the wines of the muscadet vineyards around Ancenis and Nantes and much much more�. Of course you could also just chill out on your own private patio, listening to the birdsong, sipping wine and savouring wonderfully fresh, crusty bread with lashings of delicious locally made butter and a delectable cheese or two. High speed internet access is available and dogs may be taken by arrangement. This is a no smoking property.

Teresa and Iain have provided a beautiful relaxing hoilday setting with very well equipped gites especially if you have children. There is a great garden with a fantastic playhouse which was definitely a highlight for our two children aged 7 and 4. Books, toys, games, dvd's were all thoughtful extras. There is a lovely safe swimming lake with beach only 10 mins drive away in Plesse. We also enjoyed a trip to Nantes to see the mechanical elephant. We found this gite to be excellent value. We would like to thank Teresa and Ian for their very kind hospitality. La Glycine was a lovely gite with all the amenities we could wish for and an amazing view of the garden and this made our two week holiday most pleasurable. This was our first holiday with our 19 month old daughter and Teresa went out of her way to provide both indoor and outdoor toys for Ophelia to play with, which kept her and us very happy. We managed to see Nantes and the incredible mechanical elephant, the historical towns of Châteaubriant, Rennes and Vannes and the very interesting architecture they had to offer. We also got to relax on the lake beaches of Plessé and Fégréac and visit the coastal beaches of St Marc and La Baule, plus see many other places including lots of markets. Our first time in a Gite and didn’t we pick well! My wife and I stayed in La Glycine which had everything you needed and more besides. Set in beautiful gardens, the gites are in a quiet location yet close to the local village and easy reach of the large cities in the area. Just as important and no less impressive was the warm welcome we received from Teresa. She also helped us with sightseeing and provided all the local knowledge we needed. I haven’t mentioned the "main man" Ian as he was off playing golf in England most of the week, but he was there with Teresa to give us a warm send off. As you can guess, I highly recommend going to pay Teresa and Ian a visit. You will not be disappointed.
