This County Derry holiday cottage is a modern and spacious self catering farmstay with breathtaking views of the Lough Foyle and Hills of Donegal. Located near the historic city of Londonderry and the City of Derry Airport, it is the ideal base for exploring the Causeway Coast, County Donegal, Derry City and the Sperrins region. Families and couples on holiday and guests on business are all welcome at Amara. My Little Kitchen Cookery School is located next door to Amara Farmhouse and there are a number of outdoor activities, for example, fishing, golf, horseriding and visitor attractions nearby. There are two properties available to rent:
Farmhouse: The property has 4 bedrooms (3 double rooms and 1 single room) and can sleep up to 7 people. There are 3 reception rooms (2 of which are comfortable lounges both with log fires), spacious kitchen with breakfast table and spacious bathroom, cloakroom toilet, laundry room and garage. The property has private gardens (ideal for children and families) ample parking, outdoor furniture, bbq facilities and farmland walks.
Garden Flat is a recently refurbished Northern Ireland Tourist Board 3 star secluded property situated on an elevated farm with spectacular views of Bienvenagh and the surrounding countryside. It is furnished to a high standard, has all the home comforts you require and is surrounded by vast mature gardens.The property has 2 bedrooms (1 double room with ensuite bathroom and 1 single room) and can sleep up to 3 people. A sofa bed is also available for additional guests. There is large lounge room with open fire and sun room area, a spacious kitchen with dining area and cloakroom toilet. The Garden Flat is ideal for couples, young families* or guests on business.

Beautiful house in glorious surroundings. Lots of space for myself, wife, daughter and little grand-daughter (not even 2 when we were there); no bother to provide booster seat for dining table; cot etc. for the little one. Everything we could possible need from books to TV; DVD’s etc. Even had the joy of real wood fires in the main rooms. Rating 4 out of 5, John, Feb 2010.
